Sri Lanka Rises 14 Places in Transparency International’s Global Corruption Index 2025

Sri Lanka has improved its position in Transparency International’s Global Corruption Index 2025, climbing from 121st to 107th place among 182 countries.

The Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI), the world’s most widely used corruption ranking, assesses how corrupt a country’s public sector is perceived to be by experts and business leaders.

According to the latest report, Sri Lanka’s score has increased from 32 in 2024 to 35 in 2025, reflecting a positive change of three points. This improvement has resulted in a 14-place rise in the global rankings.

Transparency International reported an overall score increase of +3 for Sri Lanka compared to last year.
