Ministry of Education Sri Lanka has announced a new scholarship initiative for students who obtain high Z-scores at the G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) examinations, enabling them to pursue degree programmes of their choice at leading international universities.
Deputy Minister Madhura Seneviratne said a total of 200 scholarships will be awarded under the scheme for placements at foreign universities.
He added that 32 students have already been selected under the first phase of the programme.
