National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has issued early landslide warnings for several areas in two districts within the Central Province.
According to NBRO, the advisory issued at 6.00 a.m. today (13) will remain in effect for the next 24 hours.
Level 2 (Amber) Warning – Be Cautious and Vigilant
The following Divisional Secretariat Divisions (DSDs) in the Nuwara Eliya District have been placed under Level 2 (Amber) warnings, urging residents to remain cautious and alert:

Walapane DSD and surrounding areas

Nildandahinna DSD and surrounding areas
Level 1 (Yellow) Warning – Remain Watchful
Meanwhile, the following area in the Kandy District has been issued a Level 1 (Yellow) warning, advising people to stay watchful:

Pathahewaheta DSD and surrounding areas
Residents in the affected areas are advised to pay close attention to changes in ground conditions and follow guidance issued by authorities.
