Tickets Released for 2026 ICC T20 World Cup Semi-Finals and Final; Venues Depend on Super 8 Results

February 25, 2026

Tickets have been released for the semi-finals of the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, scheduled for March 4 and 5, as well as the final on March 8.

Based on the outcomes of the Super 8 matches, the venue for the first semi-final remains flexible between R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo and Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The second semi-final is confirmed to be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Tournament organizers outlined the following scenarios:

  • If Pakistan national cricket team qualify for the semi-finals, they will play the first semi-final in Colombo on March 4.

  • If Pakistan fail to qualify, but Sri Lanka national cricket team qualify and face a team other than India national cricket team, Sri Lanka will play the first semi-final in Colombo.

  • If neither of the above applies, or if India are drawn to face Sri Lanka, the first semi-final will be played in Kolkata.

For the final, if Pakistan advance, the match will be held in Colombo. Otherwise, it will take place in Ahmedabad.

Organizers also confirmed that if a semi-final or the final is moved from the venue originally selected during ticket purchase, ticket holders will receive a full refund.

At present, eight teams remain in contention for the four knockout spots. In Group 1, West Indies cricket team and South Africa national cricket team lead the Super 8 standings after wins over Zimbabwe and India, respectively. In Group 2, England cricket team top the table following their victory over Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile, the match between New Zealand national cricket team and Pakistan was abandoned due to rain, with both teams sharing a point.
