Anura Kumara Dissanayake informed Parliament today that the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) is currently reviewing the prevailing situation and will issue an assessment report tomorrow (04) evaluating its potential impact on the national economy.
The President made these remarks while delivering a special statement in Parliament this morning (03).
“The Central Bank of Sri Lanka is currently reviewing the prevailing situation to evaluate its potential impact on our economy. I expect to receive that report by this evening or tomorrow morning.”
He further noted that the report would provide a comprehensive analysis of the implications for the country’s financial sector.
The statement comes amid concerns over external economic pressures and global uncertainties that may affect Sri Lanka’s economic stability.
