Showers or thundershowers are expected at several places in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, North Western and Uva provinces after 2.00 p.m. today (15), according to the Department of Meteorology.
A few showers may also occur in the Eastern Province, the department said.
Misty conditions can be expected in some areas of the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts during the early hours of the morning.
The general public has been advised to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
