The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) says steps are being taken to introduce nine WhatsApp numbers, one for each province, to assist individuals who have been unable to obtain QR codes under the fuel distribution system.
CPC Managing Director Dr. Mayura Neththikumara stated that errors in approximately 600,000 faulty QR codes have already been corrected.
He added that a special program is also being implemented to identify individuals who attempt to obtain fuel by falsely claiming they do not possess a QR code.
The CPC said these measures are part of ongoing efforts to improve the efficiency and transparency of the QR-based fuel distribution system.
