A group of 18 Sri Lankans in Israel is scheduled to return to the country, according to Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Israel, Nimal Bandara.
He said the group includes nine individuals who were deported due to violations of Israel’s immigration laws.
They are expected to arrive in Sri Lanka this morning.
Meanwhile, four more Sri Lankans are set to depart Israel today to return home.
The Ambassador also noted that an additional five individuals have applied to return and are expected to travel via Cairo Airport and arrive in Sri Lanka through Dubai.
