Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Ratnapura, Kalutara, Galle and Matara districts during the evening or night today (28), the Department of Meteorology said.
Mainly dry weather is expected across the rest of the island.
Misty conditions are likely in some areas of the Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts during the early morning hours.
The public has been advised to take necessary precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
