The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced a temporary suspension of water supply in several areas today.
Accordingly, water supply will be disrupted from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia Municipal Council area, Moratuwa, Rawathawatta and Soysapura.
The NWSDB stated that the five-hour water cut is due to a power outage at the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant.
Residents in the affected areas have been advised to store sufficient water in advance to minimize inconvenience.
