Consultant to the Ministry of Digital Economy, Sumudu Rathnayaka, says that businesses can now obtain fuel QR codes for all vehicles owned by their enterprise under one profile.
Speaking to News 1st, he explained that companies can access this facility by registering using their Business Registration Number (BRN) along with a mobile phone number.
Under this system, businesses can generate QR codes with updated fuel quotas for all their vehicles without the need for individual NIC details, simplifying the process for organizations managing multiple vehicles.
Rathnayaka further revealed that approximately 6.4 million users have already registered under the fuel QR code system, including around 2.8 million newly registered vehicles.
He added that nearly 100,000 users are yet to complete registration, urging them to do so to benefit from the system.
