The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has announced that a centralized electronic system for asset and liability declarations will be officially opened on Tuesday (31).
The initiative is part of the implementation of the Anti-Corruption Act No. 09 of 2023, which mandates public officials to declare their assets and liabilities.
According to the Commission, the new platform marks a complete shift from traditional paper-based submissions to a fully digital process.
The system will enable online submissions while also incorporating verification tools to identify false declarations and detect unusual accumulation of assets.
Authorities state that the move will enhance transparency, efficiency, and independence within Sri Lanka’s anti-corruption framework.
The official launch is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. today at the International Studies Auditorium of the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo.
