An adjournment motion on the current situation in Sri Lanka, to be moved by the government, is scheduled to be debated in Parliament today (08).
The debate will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Parliament is set to convene at 9:30 a.m., as decided at the Committee on Parliamentary Business meeting chaired by Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne.
Accordingly, proceedings will begin with Business of Parliament from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by Questions for Oral Answers until 10:30 a.m., and Questions under Standing Order 27(2) until 11:00 a.m.
The adjournment debate will then commence at 11:00 a.m. as scheduled.
