Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has reportedly submitted an affidavit to the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption, disclosing his assets and sources of income.
The submission follows a notice issued by the Commission, directing him to provide a declaration of his assets and liabilities before April 10.
The order is linked to an ongoing investigation covering the period between 2010 and 2015, focusing on the assets and liabilities of Mahinda Rajapaksa and his family.
The Commission had required the declaration to be submitted by affidavit as part of its inquiry.
