Indian Vice President Arrives in Sri Lanka; Special Traffic Plan in Place

Indian Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka today (19) for a two-day official visit.

During the visit, he is expected to hold bilateral discussions with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya, as part of ongoing high-level diplomatic engagements between the two countries.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sri Lanka, the visit will include participation in several official events and meetings with political and community leaders.

Several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) are also expected to be exchanged, focusing on strengthening cooperation in development partnerships and rehabilitation efforts related to Cyclone Ditwah.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka Police have announced a special traffic plan in view of the visit.

The Vice President is expected to arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and travel in a motorcade to Taj Samudra Hotel at Galle Face.

Police said traffic restrictions will be imposed along the relevant routes during his movements, including travel between the hotel and the Presidential Secretariat, with similar arrangements expected on the following day.
