Gautam Adani, founder and chairman of the Adani Group, has become the richest person in Asia, surpassing Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Industries.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Adani’s net worth has risen to $92.6 billion, edging past Ambani’s estimated $90.8 billion.
The shift follows gains in Adani Group company shares, with stocks such as Adani Power, Adani Total Gas, Adani Green Energy, and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone recording increases.
Market analysts note that such rankings are subject to frequent changes, as they are closely tied to stock market performance and global economic conditions.
While the Adani Group has a strong presence in infrastructure, energy, and logistics, Reliance Industries continues to dominate sectors such as energy, telecommunications, and retail.
Both Adani and Ambani remain among the world’s top 20 richest individuals.
