The National Fertilizer Secretariat Sri Lanka has announced that a shipment carrying an additional 25,000 metric tons of urea fertilizer is expected to arrive in the country at the beginning of next month.
Director Chandana Lokuhewage stated that approximately 125,000 metric tons of urea is required for the Yala cultivation season to support paddy farming and other crops.
He further noted that by mid-next month, Sri Lanka’s total available stock of urea fertilizer is projected to reach around 151,000 metric tons, ensuring adequate supply for the season.
