Opposition MP Ravi Karunanayake told Parliament that two individuals had allegedly misused his social media “tag line” to verbally attack Minister K. D. Lalkantha.
“I spoke to the minister and explained the situation,” Karunanayake said, distancing himself from the incident.
In response, Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne advised the MP to lodge a formal complaint with the police regarding the matter.
Further action is expected following the submission of a complaint.
