Sri Lanka Customs has crossed a major financial milestone, with total revenue collections for the year exceeding Rs. 1.1 trillion.
According to an announcement made yesterday, total customs revenue has now reached Rs. 1.18 trillion.
Officials stated that the department has consistently outperformed its monthly revenue targets over the past four months, exceeding targets by more than 130% during each month.
The strongest performance was recorded in April, which marked the highest monthly revenue collection so far this year.
During April alone, Sri Lanka Customs collected approximately Rs. 236.5 billion in revenue.
