Sri Lanka Police has urged the public to report individuals who have suddenly acquired substantial assets or are living luxurious lifestyles without any apparent lawful source of income.
Police said the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and other law enforcement agencies are closely monitoring such cases as part of ongoing investigations into illegally acquired assets.
According to Police, the investigations are primarily focused on identifying wealth believed to have been obtained through drug trafficking and other criminal activities, with operations continuing across the country.
Authorities emphasized that public cooperation is vital to the success of these investigations and called on citizens to provide information on individuals or activities suspected to be linked to illegal wealth.
Police said public support will help strengthen efforts to combat organized crime and safeguard the wellbeing of society.
