Another 104 luxury metro buses have arrived at the Port of Colombo as part of efforts to enhance public transportation services in and around the capital.
Metro Bus Company Chairman U. P. Thilakaratne said the new buses will be deployed on nine routes connecting Colombo with its suburbs.
The buses were imported to provide passengers with a more comfortable and modern public transport service.
Thilakaratne said the new fleet is expected to begin operations by the end of next month.
He added that each bus is valued at approximately Rs. 42 million.
