The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced temporary water supply interruptions in several areas today due to essential maintenance work at the Kandana Water Treatment Plant.
According to the NWSDB, the scheduled interruptions are as follows:
- Moratuwa and Panadura – Water supply will be suspended for 5 hours, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Bandaragama – Water supply will be suspended for 12 hours, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Horana, Kumbuka and Ingiriya – Water supply will be suspended from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Piliyandala – Water supply will be interrupted for 16 hours, from 4:00 p.m. today until 8:00 a.m. tomorrow
The NWSDB advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in advance and apologised for the inconvenience caused by the temporary water supply interruptions.
