Special transport services have been arranged from today for candidates sitting the 2026 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination.
Director General of the National Transport Commission (NTC) Dr. Nilan Miranda said around 1,700 Sisu Seriya buses have been deployed to provide transport facilities for examination candidates.
Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) has instructed officials to give priority to school bus services throughout the examination period.
The SLTB said steps have also been taken to ensure that school bus services operate continuously until the Advanced Level Examination concludes.
Sri Lanka Railways has also announced that trains will operate according to the regular timetable throughout the examination period, without cancellations.
In addition, railway track maintenance work normally scheduled for Saturdays during the examination period has been temporarily suspended.
