Sri Lanka received special attention at the Miss Polski 2026 finals held in the historic Polish city of Nowy Sącz, with the event broadcast live on Polsat.
Sri Lankan Ambassador to Poland Priyangika Dharmasena attended the colourful event as the guest of honour, which featured dance and music performances, contestant introductions and fashion shows.
The pageant followed a promotional tour organised by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau from June 7 to 17. During the tour, all 24 finalists and the production team travelled across Sri Lanka.
The bikini round of the competition was filmed at several scenic locations in Sri Lanka and attracted considerable attention from Polish media.
A special video highlighting the contestants’ experiences in Sri Lanka, their hospitality and photo shoots at scenic locations was also screened during the pageant, further promoting Sri Lanka as a tourist destination.
Viktoria Ptak was crowned Miss Polski 2026, earning the opportunity to represent Poland at the upcoming Miss Supranational pageant.
In addition to a cash prize, Ptak received return air tickets for two people for a 10-day tour of Sri Lanka, including full hospitality, provided by the organisers in collaboration with the Sri Lankan Embassy in Warsaw.
