Rs. 2.5 Billion Development Programme to Launch Across Sri Lanka

A series of revenue-generating development projects worth Rs. 2.5 billion will commence across Sri Lanka from today (14) under the direction of the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government.

The programme aims to strengthen local economies and improve social conditions across the country.

The projects will be implemented under the ‘Punarudaya Purawara’ national programme.

The first phase will commence today in Madurankuliya, Puttalam, and Agunukolapelessa, under the patronage of the Minister and Deputy Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government.

More than 100 projects covering several sectors are expected to be implemented under the programme.
