The Irrigation Department has extended the flood warning issued at 9:30 a.m. yesterday (20) for the Kuda Ganga sub-basin of the Kalu Ganga for a further 24 hours.
The flood warning issued at 12:30 p.m. yesterday (20) for the Gin Ganga basin has also been extended for another 24 hours.
Residents in the affected areas and motorists travelling through these regions, particularly on minor roads, are urged to exercise extreme caution due to the prevailing conditions.
Disaster management authorities have been requested to take all necessary precautionary measures in response to the extended flood warnings.
