Sri Lanka has been ranked among the top 10 countries in the world for the fastest improvement in travel and tourism development between 2024 and 2026, according to the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) 2026 Travel and Tourism Development Index.
Sri Lanka ranked 10th, recording a 4.33% increase in its index score compared with 2024.
Albania topped the list with a 7.0% increase, while Vietnam and Laos ranked second and third, with improvements of 6.3% and 6.1%, respectively.
