The deadline for paying income tax for the 2025/2026 assessment year ends today.
Individuals and businesses liable for corporate income tax, individual income tax, and partnership income tax are required to settle their tax payments by today.
The Inland Revenue Department said taxpayers who have not yet made the required payments must do so within today.
The Department warned that those who fail to meet the deadline will be subject to fines and interest charges.
Tax payments can be made online through the Inland Revenue Department’s online tax payment portal or at any Bank of Ceylon branch.
