The second generating unit at the Norochcholai Lakvijaya Power Plant has been reconnected to the national grid.
Plant Director Engineer M.D. Nalaka Kumara said the unit is currently supplying 225 megawatts of electricity to the grid.
A final decision on daily electricity management is expected once the unit reaches its full capacity of 270 megawatts and supplies that amount to the national grid.
