The air quality in several parts of Sri Lanka has returned to normal as of 6:00 a.m. today, according to the Central Environmental Authority (CEA).
The air quality index (AQI) across the country is expected to range between 34 and 92, indicating generally safe levels. However, the CEA noted that air quality remains moderate in areas including Colombo, Kurunegala, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Embilipitiya, and Kalutara.
Residents in these regions are advised to take precautions if necessary, particularly individuals with respiratory conditions.
