Acting IGP Issues New Guidelines for Night Vehicle Inspections

Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Priyantha Weerasooriya has directed all police personnel conducting nighttime vehicle inspections to wear luminous jackets and gloves for increased visibility and safety, the Police Media Division announced.

Additionally, officers are instructed to use only the designated red signal torches issued by the department to stop vehicles during nighttime operations.

These measures aim to enhance safety and ensure uniform practices during vehicle inspections at night.
