The Asian Development Bank has agreed to provide a special financial assistance package exceeding $100 million to Sri Lanka.
The funding is aimed at diversifying the country’s export markets and strengthening its overall export capacity.
The agreement was reached during ongoing discussions with a visiting ADB delegation, which is currently in Sri Lanka to assess the country’s export processes.
Chairman of the Export Development Board Sri Lanka, Mangala Wijesinghe, stated that the ADB has also pledged continued support to enhance Sri Lanka’s export development framework in the future.
The initiative is expected to play a key role in boosting foreign exchange earnings and improving the country’s trade resilience.
