Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the districts of Galle, Matara and Nuwara Eliya after 2.00 p.m. today (23), according to the Department of Meteorology.
Mainly dry weather will prevail in other parts of the island, the department said.
Misty conditions are expected in some areas of the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces, and in the districts of Galle, Matara and Kurunegala during the early hours of the morning.
The general public has been advised to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
