Showers or thundershowers are expected at several places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Uva provinces, as well as in the Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts after 1:00 p.m., the Department of Meteorology said.
Mainly dry weather is likely to prevail across the rest of the island.
Misty conditions can be expected in parts of the Central, Sabaragamuwa, North Central and Uva provinces, along with the Galle, Matara and Kurunegala districts during the early morning hours.
The public has been advised to take necessary precautions against temporary strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
