The Constitutional Council (CC) has approved the appointments of High Court Judges K.M. Sarath Dissanayake and Pradeep Hettiarachchi to the Court of Appeal.
The nominations, submitted by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, were granted the CC’s approval, recognizing the seniority and expertise of Judges Dissanayake and Hettiarachchi, who are currently the most senior High Court judges.
The newly appointed judges are expected to take their oaths as Court of Appeal Judges next week, marking a significant milestone in their judicial careers.
