Domestic Tax Pressure and Policy Uncertainty Threaten Sri Lanka’s Competitiveness, Ravi Says

Former UNP Deputy Leader and former Finance and Foreign Affairs Minister Ravi Karunanayake has warned that global trade conflicts, domestic tax pressure and policy uncertainty are posing challenges to Sri Lanka’s economic recovery and competitiveness.

He said Sri Lanka must prepare for a more difficult global economic environment while protecting its existing advantages.

Karunanayake stressed that the government needs to have a clear vision and implement practical policies to strengthen the country’s competitiveness and sustain its economic recovery.
