The National Water Supply & Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced an eight-and-a-half-hour water cut in several areas of the Gampaha District on Thursday, March 27.
Accordingly, water supply will be suspended from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the following areas: Peliyagoda, Wattala, Ja-Ela, Katunayake, and Seeduwa Municipal Council areas, as well as Kelaniya, Biyagama, Mahara, Dompe, Katana, Minuwangoda, and Gampaha Pradeshiya Sabha areas.
The NWSDB stated that the disruption is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance work on the electricity system at the Biyagama water treatment plant.
