The Department of Meteorology forecasts showers or thundershowers in a few areas of Galle, Matara, Kalutara, and Ratnapura districts during the evening or night.
Elsewhere, mainly dry weather is expected to prevail across the island.
Additionally, misty conditions are likely in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, North-Western, Northern, and North-Central provinces during the morning.
The public is advised to take necessary precautions against localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
