The expert committee appointed to investigate Sri Lanka’s passport crisis has submitted its report to the Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs, Ananda Wijepala.
Minister Wijepala stated that the report will be presented to the Cabinet next week, after which a decision will be made on whether to revise the current passport issuance procedure.
Currently, around 2,900 passports are issued daily, and the minister emphasized ongoing efforts to further increase this number.
