Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa held a meeting with newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Qi Zhenhong at the former President’s residence in Colombo.
During the meeting, Rajapaksa congratulated Ambassador Qi Zhenhong on assuming his new post following the presentation of his credentials on August 25.
The meeting was described as a cordial interaction between the former President and the newly appointed Chinese envoy.
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna General Secretary Attorney Sagara Kariyawasam was also present at the meeting.
