Colombo, March 20 – The All Island Canteen and Restaurant Owners’ Association (AICROA) has announced that the price of a cup of milk tea will increase by Rs. 10 starting April 1, following a rise in imported milk powder prices.
AICROA Chairman Harshana Rukshan stated that the 4.7% increase in imported milk powder prices will lead to an estimated Rs. 50 hike in the retail price of a 400g packet of milk powder.
The price revision is expected to impact restaurants, tea shops, and food outlets nationwide, affecting consumers amid ongoing cost-of-living concerns.
