MP Criticizes BCCI Over India-Pakistan Match, Claims ‘Money More Important Than Blood’

A Member of Parliament has strongly criticized the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for allowing the India-Pakistan cricket match to proceed, accusing the board of prioritizing financial gain over national sentiment.

Speaking in Parliament, the MP condemned the decision, citing ongoing tensions and security concerns related to India-Pakistan relations. “It seems money is more important than blood,” the MP remarked, accusing cricket authorities of disregarding the sacrifices made by armed forces and the emotions of families affected by cross-border violence.

The comments come amid heightened public and political scrutiny of sporting ties with Pakistan, especially during times of diplomatic strain. The MP further called on the government to reassess its stance on bilateral cricketing engagements and urged the BCCI to show greater sensitivity to national concerns.

Neither the BCCI nor government officials have issued a response to the remarks as of yet. The India-Pakistan match remains one of the most highly anticipated fixtures in global cricket, often drawing massive television viewership and generating significant commercial revenue.
