National People’s Power (NPP) Parliamentarian Chandana Sooriyaarachchi has been arrested by Athurugiriya Police following a road accident in Panagoda that injured a 65-year-old pedestrian.
Police said the accident occurred on Wednesday night (October 7) when a vehicle driven by the MP struck the pedestrian.
The injured pedestrian was taken to hospital for medical treatment.
Athurugiriya Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
