Police Cancel Grievance Day Programs for New Year Period

Sri Lanka Police have announced the cancellation of Grievance Day programmes scheduled for April 16 and 17 in view of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.

According to a statement, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Relief Day for police officers, which was to be held today (16), and the IGP’s Public Relief Day scheduled for tomorrow (17), will not take place as planned.

Police said the decision was made considering the festive season.
