Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has extended a formal invitation to Vietnam’s leading conglomerate, Vingroup, to explore investment opportunities in Sri Lanka’s real estate and tourism sectors.
The invitation was made during a high-level business meeting at Vingroup’s headquarters in Hanoi, held as part of President Dissanayake’s ongoing state visit to Vietnam, hosted by Vietnamese President Luong Cuong.
During the discussions, President Dissanayake commended Vingroup’s impressive growth trajectory and global brand presence, particularly in the fields of technology, real estate, and social enterprise.
He underscored Sri Lanka’s commitment to fostering an investor-friendly environment, citing the island’s strategic location, ongoing infrastructure modernization, and strong government support for foreign direct investment as key advantages for potential investors.
