President Anura Kumara Dissanayake returned to Sri Lanka yesterday (17) following a successful three-day official visit to India, the President’s Media Division (PMD) reported.
The visit, undertaken at the invitation of Indian President Droupadi Murmu, included several high-level engagements. President Dissanayake held bilateral discussions with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, key Indian government ministers, and prominent business leaders from India.
The Sri Lankan delegation comprised Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath, along with Labour Minister and Economic Development Deputy Minister Prof. Anil Jayantha Fernando.
The visit marked a significant step in strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations.
