Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya left Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) early today for an official visit to India, airport officials confirmed.
The Prime Minister, accompanied by a Sri Lankan delegation, departed for New Delhi at approximately 12:40 a.m. on SriLankan Airlines flight UL-191, according to ‘Ada Derana’ airport correspondent reports.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism stated that Dr. Amarasuriya will remain in India until October 18. During her visit, she is scheduled to hold several high-level meetings, including a discussion with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will deliver the Keynote Address on “Steering Change in Uncertain Times” at the NDTV World Summit, organized by NDTV and the Chintan Research Foundation, tomorrow (October 17).
Dr. Amarasuriya recently concluded an official visit to China and returned to Sri Lanka yesterday morning.
