The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has announced that the QR code fuel quota system for petrol vehicles will be reinstated from midnight today (18).
CPC Chairman D. J. Rajakaruna stated that the existing fuel quotas allocated for petrol vehicles will remain unchanged.
The QR-based system had been temporarily suspended from April 11 to facilitate increased fuel access during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year period.
Accordingly, from midnight today, fuel distribution will resume under the QR code system, with issuance regulated based on the ‘odd-even’ number plate method.
