Former UNP Deputy Leader MP Ravi Karunanayake has alleged that two individuals are attempting to sabotage the party’s future while relying on President Ranil Wickremesinghe for protection.
Speaking to the media, Karunanayake dismissed reports suggesting a major collapse within the UNP. He accused the two unnamed individuals of acting like “demons” to weaken the party and treat it as their personal inheritance.
The MP emphasized that political parties experience both power and opposition phases. However, he claimed that these individuals are working against the party’s progress at a time when the majority is striving to move it forward.
