Former UNP Deputy Leader MP Ravi Karunanayake has emphasized that Sri Lanka must come together as one nation to face the current global crisis and manage its economy effectively.
Speaking in Parliament, he outlined several proposals on the steps that should be taken during this challenging period. He noted that the country should make the best possible use of its strategic geographical location to overcome present difficulties.
Karunanayake also pointed out that Sri Lanka has faced similar international challenges in the past and has successfully navigated them over the 78 years since gaining independence.
He further stressed that the key priority at this moment is not which party holds power, but the collective effort of all Sri Lankans working together for the country.
He added that this is a time to move beyond political divisions and act with unity, highlighting that what is needed most is for the nation to stand together.
